The Montreal branch of this Swiss institution needed to completely overhaul its office layout, which no longer reflected its level of expertise and market leadership. The space includes a client zone, comprising three lounges, and a large conference room, located near the entrance, which opens onto a breathtaking view of Mount Royal. Noble yet simple materials were used to lend warmth and security.
A clear understanding of the company's needs and structure was the basis for this office layout. Circulation was designed to minimize movement between teams and optimize work. The areas accessible to the public only allow a high degree of confidentiality for customer files. The previous office layout was a maze of high partitions that camouflaged the view of the Montreal skyline and the brightness, creating a somewhat depressing space.
Removing the high partitions, delimiting the team zones without walls, adding glass doors where possible and partitioning with printed glass, the light challenge was solved. Local materials were chosen for this project.
The reorganization of the work areas resulted in a more fluid work flow for the teams. The uniformity of contemporary furniture also helped to create a very pleasant space.
