This multimedia module is designed to inform and entertain Science Center visitors waiting in the museum lobby. It houses 6 screens of varying sizes: small touch screens, a giant 103" screen and an interactive table. Each has its place; each has its function.
In a very busy space, our challenge was to design a module with an inviting presence, one that could accommodate as many people as possible, without getting in the way of the Science Center's heavy traffic. In addition, there was the constraint of visual integration with the existing environment.
The shape of the module allowed us to have a maximum number of screens in a relatively small area. The overall effect is airy, and the module's angles support the dynamism of this constantly moving space. The materials and colors chosen harmonize with the existing space, as well as being highly resistant.
